Technical standards,Testing
The laws and regulations that the basis for the content required by KC safety certification are as follows.
- (1)Wired field: Standard for terminal devices in networks (related items are modem as telecommunication equipment, telephone etc.)
- (2)Wireless field: Wireless communication device standard for telecommunication business (wireless equipment, broadcast equipment etc.)
- (3)Electromagnetic field: EMC electromagnetic standards, standards for electromagnetic absorption(SAR) measurement (mobile phone, electronic equipment etc.)
Test that manages not to exceed the measuring value required by Radio Wave Act article 45(technical standards) in the aspect of intensity of electromagnetic waves are as follows.
- (1) Electromagnetic Immunity Test(EMI Test) : test to measure the amount of unnecessary electromagnetic waves generated by the product
- (2) Electromagnetic Susceptibility Test(EMS Test) : test to verify that product can operate safely against the interference of external electromagnetic waves
- (3) Electromagnetic Compatibility Test(EMC Test) : test that measure the intensity of electromagnetic waves generated by products such as electric mats used close to the human body
- (4) Wired or wireless test : test of cable modem, optical communication, telephone etc
- (5) Performance test : test of dipole antenna, biconical antenna etc. in regard to electromagnetic wave measurement facilities according to related standards
